چکیده

Most of the existing multi-relational network embedding methods, e.g., TransE, are formulated to preserve pair-wise connectivity structures in the networks. With the observations that significant triangular connectivity structures and parallelogram connectivity structures found in many real multi-relational networks are often ignored and that a hard-constraint commonly adopted by most of the network embedding methods is inaccurate by design, we propose a novel representation learning model for multi-relational networks which can alleviate both fundamental limitations. Scalable learning algorithms are derived using the stochastic gradient descent algorithm and negative sampling. Extensive experiments on real multirelational network datasets of WordNet and Freebase demonstrate the efficacy of the proposed model when compared with the state-of-the-art embedding methods.

5 Probabilistic Relational Models

Probabilistic relational models (PRMs) are a rich representation language for structured statistical models. They combine a frame-based logical representation with probabilistic semantics based on directed graphical models (Bayesian networks). This chapter gives an introduction to probabilistic relational models, describing semantics for attribute uncertainty, structural uncertainty, and class ...

Temporal and Structural Analysis of Biological Networks

Our project introduces a graph-based relational learning approach using graph-rewriting rules for temporal and structural analysis of biological networks changing over time. The analysis of dynamic biological networks is necessary to understand life at the system-level, because biological networks continuously change their structures and properties while an organism performs various biological ...

Detecting Overlapping Communities in Social Networks using Deep Learning

In network analysis, a community is typically considered of as a group of nodes with a great density of edges among themselves and a low density of edges relative to other network parts. Detecting a community structure is important in any network analysis task, especially for revealing patterns between specified nodes. There is a variety of approaches presented in the literature for overlapping...

Multi-agent Relational Reinforcement Learning

In this paper we study Relational Reinforcement Learning in a multi-agent setting. There is growing evidence in the Reinforcement Learning research community that a relational representation of the state space has many benefits over a propositional one. Complex tasks as planning or information retrieval on the web can be represented more naturally in relational form. Yet, this relational struct...
